Yeah it's not the same one that's in my build. Maybe 6-8" if I had to guess? It was great because the RTT sat below the roof so it didn't affect the aerodynamics going down the road. It'll also be nice for someone that's just looking for a good rack to build other stuff on as well.

How does it attach to the bed rails? I'm assuming it sits on the top of the bed side for weight bearing purposes and the rails are just for securing it?

Right on.

It's got 4 bolt holes to tie it into the bed rails. You'll need some 9/16 bolts for it.
