Just messing with ya, but I'm wanting to get one of those electric smokers.

That would be nice... I started tending my fire box every half hour at 2am. My pit will put out great bbq, but isn't efficient... Fuel hog that needs constant attention. I want to build or buy a good vertical smoker with an offset fire box. Here's mine now.

For smoking looks like you need to restrict the smoke stack more.

Yeah, that was the end of the cook. I was just shooting for the highest temps I could to help me clean the racks inside.

Tried some of the local Malaysian fare today... They called it coconut rice. They lined a section of bamboo with banana leaves and packed it with rice, pour coconut milk over it and cook it in the bamboo next to an open fire until it's done... Then you cut it up and dip it in shredded dried beef. Different, but pretty good.
