This was quick day trip to see what kind of shape the park is in. There were reports from different groups - some saying it was stupid tough and others saying they could not find any challenging stuff. After going up there today I am thinking they did not look in the right places for the trails they should have been doing.

Just a quick pic thread. We had five rigs on the trails today for what turned out to be a lot better day than expected. The park was a muddy mess first thing in the morning but was decently dried up by lunch time.

I will get more photos uploaded tomorrow. Here are a few teasers.

The bypass has a pretty rough spot with some serious 2' drops that would have messed up some body panels so we had to scout a different way out of there. Back in this part of the park there is a large segment of trails that connect to each other. With some time this area will be pretty tough.

This is the only picture that ended up in my camera roll today. I must have been too busy sliding off the roads

My passenger knows the deal - I drive and she takes pictures of the trails. Sometimes I end up with a lot of scenery and flower pictures though.

Not sure why it was recorded vertical instead of horizontal - but whatever. This route up to the overlook was the far left route. There were two other trails to the top with each one being a bit harder. Since this was a scouting day trip we stuck to the idea of not screwing up a good day. Plus learning the terrain up there was a learning curve for how the different rocks and crushed rocks handle.

@MatthewMay1 found some loose rocks that gave out under him. I wasnt able to pull him out of this one so he ended up winching himself out.

The loose rocks up there make for a heck of a learning curve. They make the right wheel speed all that more important. We were on the trails for an easy 4 hours and did not cover two trails from end to end. These trails are really long compared to other parks around here.

Getting some more videos posted up. I remembered the GoPro but forgot to check it for an SD card. So we went back to phone videos.

Going to the Over Look from the Main Road. If it was a little slick this would be a bad section.
