What have you done to your ride lately?

Adding a front air fitting in the front bumper. Going to protect it with one of these.

Looks like the Taco wants a new battery.
This one was purchased July 23, 2017, lasted 6 years, I'm going to replace it with a duralast AGM now.

Did a little maintenance on the 4Runner today since I have been towing a lot lately. The rear diff fluid looked more like 5w20 than 75w90. I also reconnected the sway bar while I was back under the rig. But while I was under there I discovered the driver's side CV boot is shot; so guess I will start putting together a wrench day list.

Still tough to complain for 392k miles.

How many miles were on the 4R when you bought it?

Shows what can happen when you treat a rig right and do not abuse it. Sort of.

*now that I am thinking about it I need to get ready for a timing belt change with the regular water pump and radiator & hoses.

That shit sucks, had it done to several of my buses. Nothing like the sound of a straight piped V10 popping off at 4am lol

Dropped the Tundra off at Cowboy Toyota today where it will stay for who knows how long while they do the exhaust. I have a new-to-me transfer case in the bed for them to install while it's there. Hopefully that gets my 4x4 back going again.

I'm back to daily driving my Tacoma now so I removed the RTT. Today it was so hot that it seems my boost sensor cooked itself so I'm ordering a new one. It's annoying, but at least it's an easy replacement. The boost gauge is "nice to know" and not a "need to know" instrument so that's a good thing.

Time to crack a cold one and get in the pool.

New windshield made it 8 months. Got a chip on the way to the coast. Just filled it with a DIY kit. Looks much better and not very noticeable.

Toyota dealership is quoting 9 hours of shop time to swap my transfer case....$1635. 9 hours seems excessive to me, what do y'all think?

Swapping out the front axle in my 3rd gen takes me 3 hours if lucky; usually closer to 4 hours. There are not near the fluids, cables, weight, and sensor wires.

9 hours is probably accurate. Would fixing the issue be an option instead of a full swap?
