How do I tell for sure I have the limited slip? Is it standard on the Sr5? I need to change the rear fluid and want to get the right shit.

There will be a sticker on the diff telling you to use LS fluid if it has it. I think it's orange... or red maybe?

No need for anything that expensive in a DD with stock gears and open diff.

Mobile 1 75W-90 will work fine.
Awww come on!! joy kill......lol

Only the TRD Sport has an LSD. All the rest are "Auto LSD" which is brake actuated and has nothing to do with ehe diff. You won't need special gear oil or additive.

Drew, I don't have a sport and have LSD that I have to add the additive. not sure why?

to add. the 2009 and 2010 Sports have auto LSD and not the actual mechanical LSD. little crappy that Toyota decided to go that route.

yeah it says it on the diff to add LSD additive.
That's really wierd. I don't think that's normal. Have you gone to the Toyota owners website and entered your VIN? It should list all the equipment your truck came with from the factory. Then you'd know if someone added it after the fact.

You can also get all the owners manuals there.
