stock exhaust size

It is 2 1/2" in/out as I believe? Gonna go get mine rerouted, add a new muffler, and get it dumped after rear axle. What would be a generally good size muffler (LxWxH), I measured the stock one and it was 22x13x6

I had a flowmaster 40 on my truck. I took it off after a year because it was too annoying without the radio on. It's cool at first, and then it just got annoying over time. And when I got the stock one put back on I got a .5mpg back. WTF?
All the magnaflows I've heard on tacomas, I've really like the sound of them.

im not looking to get a louder exhaust, just a different tone, Im tired of stock and need to reroute my exhaust for clearance issues so I thought why the hell not...

Stock is 2.25 diameter I believe don't quote me on that but thats up the exhaust shop to deal with muffler wise I would go with the biggest magnaflow you can get (smaller=louder/more ricey, bigger=quieter/more aggressive tone) 2.5 inlet should be fine any exhaust shop will have a coupler to join pretty much any size to any other size.

I think Randys right about the size, I'm with Mike on the flowmaster, I had a 40 on mine and got tired of the drone and it was really annoying off-road. I swapped a guy my set up for his Trd stainless, it sounds good when you get on it but is quiet off-road. And there was a lil power mpg gain over the flowmaster.
