When some of the hospitals report they are at bed capacity, that is based on the number of staff that is able to adequate care for X number of patients.

There is a RN, Dr. And PA shortage, period.

They have plenty of nurses on call or can bring in traveling nurses as well. They laid off a ton of nurses months ago.

The masks are about controlling spit and snot. Both carry whatever is in our system. Personally I wish more people would wear masks during flu season when they were not feeling good. It would help keep the common flu under control.

... and I wish people who are sick would just stay the fuck home. I have spent 3 different spells at my condo - not going home - so that I would not give my sammy maker anything. All three times was just allergies. ...and I get that there are many that stuff a lot of people in a house - my sammy maker has 12 people in a 2 bed apt for years. I hate to say it but I like staying away from those neighborhoods.

I know this is a dick statement but if people took their health more seriously and got rid of the 'SAD' (standard American diet) we wouldn't need to have so many 'healthcare' providers. Shouldn't we call them Sick Care Providers? My only allergy is Hospitals and docs who think they are God!

Big +1 on wishing people cared as much about their overall health as they care about my 0.02% chance of death from this. At what point do we get to start shutting down McDonalds to stop obesity and heart disease?
