I have the A340H transmission out of my 87' 22RTE turbo 4Runner if anyone wants to come pick it up. It was rebuilt in 2012, but apparently they neglected to change the transfer case chain (or couldn't find one). It has a ton of slack and makes noise unless you are in 4wd. Otherwise the thing shifts great and had no issues.

It is located in Fredericksburg Texas. If you want it, come and get it. I will NOT help you load it though, I'm a mechanic stalling on a hernia surgery and don't need the pain. I have the transfer case cooler as well as the converter, but that is it. No crossmember or trans. computer.

PM me and we can work something out.

I'm going with bad... or "wish I had seen this sooner". Typical - you could wait 6 months trying to find one used and as soon as you pull the trigger on a new one, a used one in great shape shows up in your town.
