Digital Optics for Hunting

Considering our multiple conversations across other threads going back and forth on different digital optics and images; I figured I would start a thread to start posting images and reviews.

This week I have a Wraith 4k Mini in my possession to mount & zero on a friend's rifle. A couple of quick comparison pics against my AGM Rattler. The Wraith pictures are a bit dark in this; I did have the external IR light on but I think the settings in the Wraith need a bit of adjustment. The image in the scope was not that dark. I will get a day pic tomorrow of the same situation through the Wraith to round out the images.

Wraith 4k Mini - please note; this is at the lowest magnification settings at 4x

AGM Rattler 35 - please note; this is at the lowest magnification settings at 2x

Updated original post with better picture. It seems the IR light has multiple settings. I will double check the results tomorrow with fresh batteries to see the difference.

Yeah it has a few different levels. Mine was on the highest in that video.

Took advantage of a situation last night to get some captures through the AGM Rattler of the zoom levels. The majority of time I am using this scope at 1x or 2x so far .

Your feeder is 50yds away? Are we bow hunting or rifle hunting?

Not "my" feeder. This is the setup the other guy has. He thought it was 100 yds till I took my range finder out there.

The lease will be done properly.

And right now hard to complain about a free hunting spot. But after I pushed him to start hunting other areas on the property and set up cameras to watch different areas he wants to change up a lot of this setup. Longer shooting lanes, multiple shooting lanes, and better entry / exit for hunters.

In his defense the father-in-law owns the land and setup the blind and feeder how he wants it. Of course he is not a big hunter or shooter either.

No wonder why your not seeing hogs.

Let him know I have a son who played outfield, and he can throw and hit that feeder from the stand with a baseball all day long, lol

We have killed a lot of hogs from that stand. Maybe you just need a bath so your hogs do not smell you in the stand.

Nah, I shoot 99% of them off the porch which has full facilities in the Redneck trailer trash house.

Speaking of said porch, some turkeys just came out to the feeder just now.
