Yeah, when I was looking at buying a new truck I spent about .5 seconds thinking about the new Tacoma. It does nothing to make me want one.

I looked at 1 when they first came out. First thing I did was try to get into the back seat. Immediately said nope, this won't work for a person.

Backseat of my Colorado is an afterthought. Its tiny.. but one person rides back there very rarely. My dog thinks its fine. LOL

I also sat in the back of a Colorado, and it was much better considering i could actually get in it. Still was not big enough for my needs.

I heard that the 4-cylinder tacomas are losing 20-30% resale just driving off the lot. Noone wants the 4-cylinder.

Test drove a new one on 35's, $79k it was fited by Outlaw Offroad, owned by the Red McCombs/Universal Toyota companies. felt a bit under powered, going like 45 to 70+mph. Very nice ride to it. I like the looks of it. Very complicated drivetrain design IMO. A couple more years on the road and we'll see about the reliability of that design. I would deff buy a sasquatch bronco before the new LC.

I do like the overall vehicle but the reports on that power band & drivetrain are concerns. While my 3rd gen may be old it has a great drive feel to it with the supercharger.
