Didn't find it. Found a few actions and barrels of my friend's, but not mine. I do have pictures of it in case I need to show something.

Installed a Ruger BX trigger in my "stock" heavy barrel take-down 10/22. Also ordered a Magpul X-22 takedown stock in green for it. My kid loves OD green so I'll give it to her.

I borrowed a friends gauge to measure trigger pull. It is one of the cheaper spring loaded ones, so it only gives an approximation. I used a pretty thick towel double over to hold the slide upside down in a vice. Clamped it down just hard enough to keep it from moving when pulled by the trigger gauge.

The M&P 2.0 without apex trigger was about 5.5-6lbs. I think it was closer to 6lbs.

The M&P 2.0 with apex trigger was about 4lbs. The spec sheet from apex says that it should be about 4.3lbs.

The M&P Shield 9 (gen 1) w/ factory trigger was right at 7 lbs.

The M&P Shield 40 (gen 1) w/ Hyve-Tech trigger boot was about 6.5 lbs

The Beretta 92 FS was pretty consistent around 5.75 lbs for single action, and I was unable to get a reading on double action. All I know is that it was above 8 lbs, as that was the max that the gauge would read.

I installed the upgraded trigger spring in my new Tikka T3X. The difference for a $8 part and 5 minute install is impressive. I wish the Rem 700 was this easy to upgrade! The pull is half what it was (probably closer to 2 lbs now) and is really crisp. This will be a great field use setup and will hold it's own off the bench.

She approves of it. I added the higher cheek rest (not shown in photo) and I need to install the QD mounts yet. But she likes it.

Ordered the fully machined sear for the shield. We'll see how this changes things. The ultimate striker block will likely be next.

My buddy picked up a S&W shield in 9mm. I love the stippling on it and it's a nice little carry gun. The trigger on it isn't bad either, it has some grittyness to it but that will go away overtime. (the shield sight came on another pistol be bought awhile back and is on here temporarily. He's going to run something else in the future.)

Is that the factory trigger on the Shield Plus? The Apex Ultimate Striker Block should get rid of the grittiness for about $35. The USB made such a difference in the full size M&P that I just did the polymer flat faced trigger in that I considered stopping there.

Needs more auto sear.

Now that would be fun!

A buddy just installed a Samson magwell on his shield. I'm contemplating it, but not seriously. I like the extra grip it gives you, but I like the short grip for concealability. That same buddy added a threaded barrel and compensator and Samson mag extensions. To me, that eliminates the purpose of the shield. He showed it to me on Sunday and it looks like a skinny full sized pistol.

My neighbors son bought the Glock 43x for daily carry. But then he added a threaded barrel with large compensator, a magwell and 20rnd mag, and some low profile red-dot style optic (don't recall which).. But I feel the same as you do about your friends Shield. Might as well have just bought a Glock 19.

I did a 43 as my carry and leaving it alone to keep it small and lightweight. I thought about an extended mag and the surefire light but at the end of the day I am not a fan of stuff in my pockets so best to keep it as small as possible.

Oh yeah, he had the Surefire as well!

I left my Hellcat alone.. it is the optics ready version but I didn't mess add it.

Smith & Wesson sells a 33-rd mag for the full size M&P.

Hyve Tech and some others offer mag extensions for it that add 5 rounds. At the cost of the magazine ($22 on the cheap side for pro-mags) and the extensions ($30+ depending on mfg) you might as well just buy the 33 rounder from S&W for $55.

The full size will be my bedside gun, so I don't mind having the light and all the boogaloo stuff on it (though I don't have anything on it that it didn't come with). I'm not likely to use it as a carry gun, so I'm not as concerned about weight or concealability. I have my shield for that.

Speaking of the full size M&P with the Apex trigger. I made it to the range on Sunday. MUCH improved over the original trigger. I need more practice with it, but I had decent groupings at 25 yards.

I have a light on my XDM 40 (nightstand) and on my XDM10 (camp gun). I feel it’s fine on those.

Got my warrantied light in from Inforce. The old light lived 99% of it's life on my .22AR upper on the shelf and it failed right when I was about to pop a putty tat in the dark. So I def wouldn't recommend using this on a self defense setup.

And it sucks to say that bc I love the mounting system, the switch that changes between IR/White light, and that it's lightweight. But the switches usually go bad in these (it's what happened to mine), the white light throw sucks and it needs more lumens.
