National Park Service ticketing AWD

The NPS is going after AWD cars on "4x4 Only" roads now. I am curious what this will do to reduce "bad" traffic that has to aggressively use the throttle to get thru tough areas.

What about "4x4's" that don't have lockers or limited slip diff's? Technically not 4x4 either and use the skinny pedal to "just send it".

I would not expect a NPS Ranger to start inspecting every vehicle to that depth.

So by the definition in the article, AWD vehicles with center diff lock are okay.
