Problem with taking your time is all the things I am finding. Almost wish I was doing this with blinders on. Stress cracks (plural) up front in the fender support area has me angry I never kept an eye on my body mount bushings or their torque.
That was bound to happen. Absolutely nothing you can do about it...

I can say one thing....after all this BS I am going to try my best to stop playing in the swamps when she gets back on the road. We shall see how long that lasts.

@Anathollo - I did not forget about the SPOD, just been too busy to dig into all the electronics I have laying around in boxes.

Also going to have up for grabs a used set of TC UCA's & King 2.5 front coilovers with 700# springs. Going to give you guys and my local buddy's first dibs before I try to post them on tardworld. Guess Ill have to come up with a 6th screen-name since I got banned again within 10 minutes of logging on last time I was there lol

I would pick those up from you but my garage would not like rusted parts on the truck that holds the floor down

Yeah, so why swapping out the Kings and TC UCA's? What are you going with?

I think I did, but can't picture it.

What are you going to use for UCAs?

New TC's. Pulled a Sean and didn't feel like messing with them right now so got new.

Pics and price of the UCAs when you get a chance. I'm interested.

When the truck is running/moving I'm going to clean everything up I have, see what their value is, take pics, and throw them up on here. Ill give you first notice via PM.

Yeah, so why swapping out the Kings and TC UCA's? What are you going with?

Laziness, 1/2" more travel, adjustable compression....mostly laziness lol

Nothing wrong with any of it, but the King lower shock bearings that seized to the shock bolt and those parts are in the mail now. Going with King adj extended travel w/700#, TC UCA's, & LCA's. I refuse to rebuild those OE LCA's again & was amazed at how good the stainless uni-balls held up in my TC UCA's after sitting for 3 years. Zero play in them. The original chrome balls would of fallen out by now. The LCA uniball was always my worry with aftermarket LCA's & salt/mud/sand.

Cool man. That’s basically the exact same front setup I have. Very happy with it.

Yep, I've been happy with the current set up of King/TC so figured an upgrade would make me smile even more. This time Ill be popping the coil springs off and doing some extra rust prevention to the shock bodies (clear coat). While the old set made it almost 4-5 years before corroding once they started it was not so pretty.

On another note - DSMS customer service may be great but their guy in shipping slipped up. Confirmed my ship to verbally then Micha sent me a confirmation that was spot on - next their guy in shipping must have sent it to the last "saved address" they had for me which is my old employer. Luckily I'm still friendly with them, but not stoked I need to drive there today after work in the middle of shore traffic to pick up the parts. Glad I'm still on good terms with them.

Edit - I just checked the sales slip again - I'm a moron. It had the wrong addy on it as well and I should of caught it. No one to be mad at but myself when I'm sitting in traffic today lol

Plan is to:

Put a few ml's of Marvel Mystery oil on top of all the cylinders
Put 1 quart Marvel Mystery oil into the oil system
Put 4 quarts of conventional into the oil system
By hand turn it over a few times to spread the lube love with no spark plugs installed
Drain gas tank
purge fuel lines
Put 16oz of Marvel Mystery fuel additive into gas tank
fill gas tank with new
purge all old rad fluid from block and hoses
add new rad fluid

drive 500 miles locally similar to break in

Swap out oil for synthetic
Swap out rad fluid
Pray to the Yota gods

Also need to flush my brakes, tranny, rear, front diff, transfer case, and power steering somewhere in all that.

Marvels! :) That Red can was swirling around in my head when you said start up. I figured there may be something new and improved so I kept my old mouth shut.

I watched the videos Anthallo posted in the BS thread. Watched a few more. I think I'm going overboard, but rather be safe vs sorry. Remember if it weren't for "old men" the youth would have nothing to look up to or use as mentors.....and I wouldn't even have the new engine lol

Gas lines/injectors are the only things scarring me at this point.

Did you flush the lines?

Not yet. This weekend I hope to drop the tank and blow the lines out.

Online consensus with leaving gas in for 3 years is:

A) Everything is fine you pu**y - just start it up and drive
B) Drain everything and follow a 300 step process before you blow the truck up.

Seems to be no middle ground. Time will tell. Ill have my fingers crossed for sure.

A. Seems easy. :) ...and probably won't hurt you - after all you can get to injectors much easier than mine.
