RTT - Roof Top Tent Stuff

Dragging up an old post on purpose - what configuration did you end up using for the RTT and is it still in use today? I am now looking for one and also have to find a good way to mount it to my 3rd gen 4R.

Someone came out to the track with a 4th gen with a modified Bajarack Utility. Looked pretty slick, I'm considering one for my 4R whenever I get around to replacing the OEM one. The RTT is taking a beating on it, the front and rear plastic covers are barely staying on now since I keep using them as handles.

I like the looks of those Baja Racks. I am trying to find a good solution for mounting the rack now as low profile as possible without breaking the bank.

Yeah, that Bajarack is the cheapest off-the-shelf solution I've seen. But the same thing for my 4R is $800. Go figure.

X2 to the Prinsu rack. I've read that a lot of people have wind noise issues with the Baja racks.

Except Prinsu does not list 3rd gen 4Runners for any products.

I am looking to do a low profile mount and then just a platform on top.

That could be the perfect solution to what I am looking for. I want to keep the platform as low as possible.

I was thinking a platform that the RTT could attach to when mounted. The part of the platform the RTT does not cover can be used for other light gear storage.
