No, but it will help make them water proof. Your best bet would be crimp connectors instead of the wire nuts, then wrap them with elec tape. The very best way is to solder the connections, but that can be a PITA.

oohhh ok...and yeah, forget soldering. hopefully i can find some willing friends to come help me wire everything up when the time comes

Probably a few years down the road.... Going to take my time to get all the right parts and do it as inexpensively as I can. And I'm still debating on which axles to pop in there... Was thinking a 60 in the front and 14 bolt rear, but if I find some volvo 303s or other portals for the right price, I'm jumping on them!

That is.... if I don't sell the taco before then. :\
