I love my Orbis, I have 4 of thenm around the house... awesome wifi everywhere... even at the furthest area of my backyard (about 100' from the house). I hope they don't take a shit, damn things are $$$.
Yeah I'm hoping this more powerful setup works because if not, then I'll go back with Orbi's. But yeah the price of the new Orbi systems is overpriced and the main reason I didn't go that route (unless I'm forced to lol)

I’m sure you seen the backstop demo ranch built. I expect nothing less. LOL. But serious that looks like a great start.

Haha yeah his is awesome, don't quite have a machine to make the berm that high...I don't plan on doing any crazy shooting here but a place to plink when I get the itch and to zero rifles and pistols without having to pack up and head to a range. Time will tell if the neighbor on the other side calls the cops. I don't have any local police force here, only state troopers, met a few of them and they all seem like decent guys so hopefully they won't give me any troubles lol

I took apart my indoor unit and checked the evaporator A coil to clean it. Looked pretty rusty so didn't want to mess with it too much and cause a leak, but I got the cover partially disassembled and found the inside of the coils looked pretty damn clean, so I just sprayed the outside of the coils with the foam cleaner and rinsed off. I'll call that "good enough", after 18 years of use I think the coils still looked decent, I always try and change the filter every 6 months. Slapped it all back together and she's working good in this heat wave we have out here now.

Well the TP Link Deco 22000 wifi7 routers work great! Much larger units and a much stronger wifi signal than the 14000 series.

So I didn't reallllyyyy need these (jk I do need them  ) but I went ahead and installed them anyways. Apparently we aren't spending enough on the IT portion of our business so I took the liberty of ordering an additional two exterior-rated wifi7 routers.

I installed one on our light pole (this will be a wireless booster so we'll have wifi7 to the end of the pier).

And I installed one at our gate so Mowses, our robot lawn mower, will have full wifi7 signal past our property (this actually has been an issue for us in the past). This is hardwired from the junction box below with a dedicated exterior rated CAT6 cable that I ran when remodeling my house. It's plugged into the back of the Wi-Fi router in the living room.

I took my old Netgear Orbi satellite router over to my moms and put it in her shed at the edge of her property so now she has strong wifi6 coverage over her whole property as well.

"Mowses"... awesome!
Yeah my wife came up with that one. I had named it "Mr. Slave #2" (I'm #1) and she wanted it changed to something more age appropriate for the girls lol

That's Mr Asshole to you
I have been busy around the house the last few weeks getting it ready to sell. Even a newer house has a good bit of prep work. Removing and packing shit, patching holes in the wall from hanging stuff, and a knee size hole from my step daughter practicing gymnastics in her room. Power washing everything, cleaning out flower bed and new mulch, caulk a few spots on the outside, cleaning and more cleaning. Put down some high nitrogen fertilizer and the yard loves it.
New carpet comes Wednesday, and pics on Saturday.

New place is a few exits closer to work. 800 square feet bigger and on an acre. Yes the garage is bigger, but there is plenty of space for a shop and a pool at the new place. Have projects stacking up at the new place. First order of business is epoxy the garage floor, add junction boxes in garage ceiling for more lights, new drawer slides in the entire house, cut down a pine tree, and blow in additional insulation in the attic.

I need a vacation from all this.

Picked up an Intex 18'x48" pool yesterday. We've been talking about a pool every year since we bought the house but the money to level our yard was always the deciding factor. I finally bit the bullet this year. Going to have to rent a skid steer to cut down the slope in our back yard to build a pad for it. If the rain for this weekend gets pushed off I'll do it this weekend but if not I'll just work on getting the power ran out to where the pad is going to go. Luckily I already have a 20A circuit on my back porch that was added for a hot tub (who in their right mind would buy a 120v hot tub?!?!?) by a previous owner. All it's used for currently is the string lights around the back yard so I'll just come off of it and run underground to pop up by where the filter and salt supply are going.
