Are you doing wrap around style on the rear bumper?

I didn't do wrap around, but made it to where I can add it on down the road when I get ready to cut the body for clearance. I kicked the idea around this past week to cut the body and do a wrap around but decided to wait.

Yeah, you can always cut the bed sides for high clearance AFTER you crumple them a bit.

Just don't let it get wrinkled to the point you can't cut them any more, like I did.

here are some quick pics I took this morning, still needs paint and a few minor touch ups, but mostly complete.


Pic from the back side, I believe this bumper should take a decent hit, main thing I worried about was dragging my stock bumper off, this one should stay in place.

I want to build me a rear bumper like that, keep it simple and still be able to use factory recever hitch.

Thanks Keith. Nice thing about building your own is you can do with it what you want, make it fit your own needs and add/remove to it to suit future mods.

That will look badass, I'll load up that tubing bender this week and give it to Rob sometime this week at lunch so you can se if it will work for you or not (will have to knock the dust off of it 1st)
