Its fine they say. I say, let me show you something. Here's a growing Crack in the frame, here is where my engine mount caved in from rust. Here are some places that have grown to an inch thick from rust. Hmm. Let us pull it back up on the lift and check those spots

They do not drive it on a daily basis so what is the big deal?

Taking my Tacoma to the dealer this afternoon to get the air bag light/ clock spring recall started. They are supposed to check the leaf springs while it is there.

Both front fenders are cut and about 2 inches of slider was trimmed and capped off. Hopefully that will eliminate some of the rubbing that was experienced on the shakedown. Just waiting on Some of Nathan's swanky fender trim to cover up the knuckle scraping sharp edges.

Just got home from picking up my Tacoma at the dealership. Apparently the 2006 is no longer covered under the clock spring recall and they ordered me the leaf springs that do not exist yet. I am pretty pissed that they left my truck in the parking lot with the keys in it.

Looks good Chris. The sooner I get this bridge moved the sooner I can swing by with that trim. Setbacks due to the client have extended my trip into the weekend. Time for a beer and some grub.

I kind of have the original springs - I have AAron's original TSB springs.

As for the clock spring recall; I just got off the phone with Toyota and I was informed it was decided my truck's VIN does not apply to the recall.
