I added the foldout tray to under the seats, adds a nice flat platform and pretty damn sturdy too it's all thick metal.
Man I like these things. When the time comes to ditch the BabyMax, I’m gonna have to give them a serious look.I traded in my Superduty. Picked up an AEV Bison Colorado. Pretty loaded out.. even has the steel drivfeshaft, under mount cameras, sunroof (useless), Bose sound, pretty much all the options... one it does not have is the in-bed lighting which is not a big deal as I can add my own. It has the sliders and some optional steps that bolt to the sliders. I had them leave those off of it. It came in this morning on the transport truck. I just happened to ask about it last night and was in San Antonio around 12:30 to look at it. Will add a winch at some point. Was worried the Taco would not like it but they seem to get along. Now to learn all the shit it does.

So this is everyone's hint to buy some Amazon stock.I never said I would not modify this one.![]()
Ordered some gas hood struts, a shorter antenna (this one smacks the garage lip) and some bed pocket covers. Not planning to use them for a long time. But a winch is on my short list.
It has the optional tailgate with storage built in. Threw a little bit of recovery gear in there, my 1"x30' recovery rope is too large so I'll pick up a smaller 20x7/8 for there.

Nice.
I thought you were going to get a Bronco?
I test drove one...I liked it. But I wanted a truck. The kid wanted me to get a Bronco and was a little disappointed I didn't.

It surprised everyone. Wife was like "what are you doing in San Antonio"... "Looking at a truck"... then I drive it home.Well this wasn't on my 2024 bingo card![]()
Well I truly hope you have better luck with that truck than my nephew did with his 2019 Colorado. His truck was in the shop every couple of months and before he decided to leave us, his engine had some internal issues with it that was probably going to make it need to be replaced (I can't remember exactly what it was but it was gonna be expensive). It surprised everyone. Pretty sure they use the same 2.7L that’s in the Silverados and it seems to be a pretty solid option in that application. Even though it’s a 4cyl in a half ton.Well I truly hope you have better luck with that truck than my nephew did with his 2019 Colorado. Well it's a GM product soI remember those early gen Colorados liked to bend frames as well. With any newer vehicle you run the risk of something being a weak link in it. I hope I don't have issues but realize there may be some or a lot.![]()
