Plan on ordering those Monday morning and hopefully can get the kit in time to install before next weekend. You wouldn't be interested in swinging by there and throwing it in a flat rate USPS box would ya?

I would if I was closer than 4 hours! :D If you were talking only the wiper seals, I could do that. I have a pair but I don't plan on tearing the front end apart untill I need to or want to inspect how things are going in there. Let me know.

He wouldn't budge on the price, 3500.00. Thought it was a fair price, he was happy, I was happy. Figured it had 3500 in upgrades anyhow.

More than fair! Looks good!

Ah, I was under the assumption you lived very close to TG, my bad.
No biggie, I still plan on ordering the kit. Got everything cleaned to start reassembly, just need the parts. Thanks anyhow.

Ordered the kit this morning, paid for 2 day shipping (ouch). But should have enough time to get it back together by the weekend.
Fixed a bunch of other little things this weekend, wiring, lights, oil change, filters, ect.
Future thoughts I have are different bumpers (tube), flat bed (tube), maybe some body panels and a little paint.
Right now I want to see what it will do and go from there, so far for what I have I feel its been a "budget friendly" truck, hopefully I can keep it that way.

Great idea! :D

I had that idea but your rig is so much better than mine was so I got a bit carried away!

Tommy want wingy..
Thats a hella deal with just the mods on it now. Duals, Longs, winch, new gears....Great aquisition!! I gave a little more than that for my Red truck and it didnt have half the stuff your rig does!!

Thanks Chris, you got a real nice rig as well.
Draw back to buying a pre-built rig is undoing/re-doing some of the things that are on it. There are pros and cons to both.
I guess the final decision for me is to see how it does wheeling, I'll have a little better idea if its was a deal or not after that!

Well, its going to be close getting the truck together. I got the 3rd member back and its good to go but TG made a mistake and shipped the rebuild kit UPS ground and showed it wouldn't arrive till MONDAY.
I called and they are re-shipping the kit overnight, meaning I'll get the parts tomorrow leaving me with one evening to get it all back together. Hopefully there will be no more suprises and it all goes back together with no issues.
I will say that Trail Gear took care of the problem very fast and was very understanding of the situation. With the exception of the screw-up they are cool to work with.

Well you should be able to get it together Todd. You got mad skillz. :) But its not that bad.. yes it sucks and its messy. But going together was easier than pulling apart. Just be sure to use a fish scale and get the drag correct. I had to mess with that a few times to get it right. Didn't take too long, just one thing that I was told to get right by an old Land Cruiser guy.

You mean the bearing preload? an in/lbs torque wrench (of the non clicking variety) is what I use to set things with rotational yield. Its what I used to set the diffs i've assembled.
