Shocks finally got to AccuTune after USPS completely fucked up the shipping. But they said all parts are in stock and it should only be a few days turn around. So hopefully they'll be here by next weekend when I'm done with this outage and I can get everything back together. I did manage to get the spindle gussets welded on in the meantime. I just need to get them painted and get the bearings/hubs reinstalled on them and everything will be ready to go when the shocks get back.

Pro Tip: Ask them to set an inch of pre-load for you on the springs. It's a lot easier to un-screw the collar than to screw it down.

FWIW, when I set my Kings (and my Fox for that matter) I used a spring compressor to allow me to spin the adjuster down easier. But I like the idea of them pre-loading it for me better.

I had the coils removed before I sent them in as they charge $25 each to remove them if they're left on. When I get them back I'll take them back to my local shop and have them reassembled (we took measurements and counted threads before disassembly). I did have some lean but I think it was due to KDSS which is common after lifting KDSS vehicles. So I may need to add a little more preload on the passenger side eventually if leveling the KDSS system doesn't fully fix it.

Just like Accutune thought, the spherical bearing is what was fucked up. Still not sure why the coil is so off centered compared to the shock body. Dropping the coilovers off at the shop this afternoon to have the coils removed and then all four shocks are getting shipped to Accutune as soon as I find a box for them. In the mean time, I'm going to try and find replacement for my KDSS bushings, get the spindle gussets on, and hopefully that's it. Everything else appears to be in pretty good shape.

The guy that rebuilds mine replaces them ... and he should for $500 a set

The guy that I know that does this for the living wanted to know why my rings were gouged - he seems to ALWAYS adjust while in his bitching spring compressor set up. I will try to dig up a pic.

Test drive went good on the 4Runner. No squeaks or other unwanted noises from the suspension. So now I can move on to the next things on the list... Bumpstops, KDSS spacers, and panhard correction kit. At that point the suspension should be wrapped up until my rear link bushings wear out and I replace all the links with aftermarket. Also going to start working on some cosmetic stuff. Like upgrading some lighting and getting the roof rack and ladder installed again. I also need to unspool my winch cable and inspect it since I haven't even pulled it out since I bought the truck.
