Night before last, we had about 1/2” of sleet accumulation over a 2hr period, crazy ass weather temps dropped to low to mid 40’s

We relocated camp to about 8,200ft asl for this week, seems to be a lot easier to breathe/hike vs. the 9,500+

I like my Hobit - much lighter than our swingbar. We keep a beach ball in the bag since if its raining, the water can pool on top. We put the beach ball between the tent and the fly so that the water won't pool. The revised the design on the new ones. I haven't even stepped in a REI in at least 5 years. I don't like the idea of giving money to people that are one of the drivers shutting down trails in this communist state.

Yeah I don't recall the last time I went into an REI. I heard they closed down the one in Round Rock. Sad.. not really.

Phuck NM is too hot this time of the year, even if there is a spring fed(snow melt from 60 miles from the mountains) 90ft deep swimming hole near by, Roswell had a heat index of 110+ today, 108 yesterday.

5 to 6 degrees cooler, and much stronger winds (cause Oklahoma sucks) than Roswell,
lol, but glad to be back in Texas where the buffalo roam. :D

We were on the road a bit over three weeks(mostly in CO), we came back 2 days early because of the heat wave, waiting on The Laundry Fairy’s magic to clean this up. lol
