Should the thread names be named on the first year anniversary? So far, I'd say a good name for this one would be 'Two Sheep Fucking.'

Sheep
A sheep is an investor who has no strategy or focus in mind. This type of person simply listens to others for financial advice, and often misses out on the most meaningful moves in the market as a result.

Bear

The term bear refers to the given market conditions. Bull and bear are probably the most familiar terms on Main Street.

Bull
The term bull refers to a very positive stock market environment in which stock prices are increasing and money is flowing into stocks.

Ostrich
An ostrich is an investor who fails to react to critical situations or events that are likely to impact his or her investment.

Pig
A pig is any investor who puts greed ahead of his or her investment principles or sound strategies.

Piker
A broker or investor who makes small size trades. Piker is a pejorative slang term used to describe individuals who are said to have limited impact on the operations of the market or a business.

An individual is most likely to be considered a piker if he or she makes small trades or does not prepare fully for the trading day. The word itself is considered more offensive than words such as “amateur”. In some cases an individual who considered him or herself to be very knowledgeable about investing, despite evidence indicating otherwise, would be considered a piker.

Life Guard

saved lives – basically a great return on investment, passes all the cost-benefit tests, even contribute to the good of society by improving safety in water.

Someone sobered up. ;)

sorry you don't understand the purpose of the thread, I will type slower, maybe you need some Ross Perot graphics or a Mike Tyson cartoon? which is kinda funny.

In 2008 the market was horrible, I paid cash for my Tacoma ~ $27,800 and cash for most cars prior to that.

I used to be a no debt person, but I learned over the years, leverage those liquid assets against smaller debts, why not have your investments pay(dividends and rate of return) for your cars? While maintaing your assets...

My friends always thought I was crazy when I said I paid rent to live with my parents. I was not in school, worked, and made more money than my mom did. Of course I'm not living there for free. But it was cheaper than getting my own place.
I was the same on all accounts. Also I was working 15 hours a day (or I was at whatever girl's apartment I was banging at the time) so it didn't make financial sense to have my own place. I just needed a place to shit, shower, store my stuff and grab a few hours of sleep occasionally.

Good to know I wasn't the only one who paid my parents rent, I took a year off of school to work as a "draft technician" for a craft beer distributor (seemed like a great idea at the time). I made great money and was never really home, work all week and party/camping on the weekend. It was a great gig but luckily I decided to finish my degree(s) before I fell too deep into the "Life."

I got the boot at 18 for being a total POS scumbag and moved in with my sister. Sis was smart so as long as I was going to college at night and getting good grades (already had two jobs) my rent was 1/4 of what it would be if I took a semester off or dropped out. Looking back my sister and my GF at the time are pretty much the only reason I'm still on this earth.

silly SNJ hillbillies.... Was dating HS student teacher in HS and she talked me into going back to school after I got kicked out then onto college. Mom kicked me out as soon as I got kicked out of HS so I moved in with sis. Sis and GF prob got together and formulated a plan to get me back on track. reminds me I need to ask my sis if they did have a coordinated plan.

BTW - your sis married yet? :shifty:

Rental income is something I'm might explore this next year, whether it's equipment or a small house.
