I didn't get anything.. :) Not Army but also out for 19 years and not an AFSC (MOS) that they want. I'll sit in my chair.

Same here. But they start calling back old Marine Infantry then we are going to be in for a whole different ballgame.

AC?

I asked a friend who retired about 2 years ago if he got an email.. I doubt it. He was a programmer. So not a need.

Does an AC get a ribbon for being an AC?

I don’t think so, but I can usually tell the difference on an Army LEGO rack wore on the uniform and/or affiliation patch worn on the shoulder, the first thing I look for is the Army Good Conduct Medal (AGCM)vs. U.S. Army Reserve Components Achievement Medal (ARCAM)/ Reserve conduct medal.

Very very inspirational. My allergies must be flaring up.

Damn that is impressive he strung together all those words without a teleprompter. I agree with @Silverback ; the allergies are pretty tough today.

The morale on this aircraft carrier is probably pretty low, I’m not sure the Acting Navy Security should have even spoke to the military members on board, what a idiot he is.

'Too Naive or Too Stupid:' Acting SecNav Slams Fired Captain in Speech to Crew

Yea, they created a shit show with how they reacted to this.

I'm going to assume the captain was it he right and the gubment in the wrong until the facts come out. Same assumption - the captain was begging for action and resources meanwhile the "management" in DC failed him and his crew. He outed them and then action was taken.

Call him a whistle blower or whatever, but I got his back until facts prove different.

I only watched a few news bits about it, from what I understand the Captain notified folks out of COC, and his letter made it to the press on top of it.

What is wrong about this , the U.S. adversaries should not know we have a nuclear powered aircraft carrier that may be weakened by what ever by what ever means, it puts us in a weaker position if an important chess move needs to be played.

Yea, I agree. I'm assuming that wasn't his first request. Be it right or wrong, I'm doubtful one of the best carrier captains in the fleet isn't dumb enough to send an unsecured e-mail and CC the public on it unless it was his last ditch effort at saving his sailors. He is also infected so maybe that had something to do with it and his mindset?

I'm cynical towards the gubment especially for a guy with such a good record. Our gubments record is not nearly as spotless as his looks to be

The news reported the Acting Navy Sec stepped down yesterday, more turmoil about removing the CPT continues. I hope for the personnel onboard that they are able to get pass situation along with the number of cases infected with the Covid19.

Yea, I heard his speech. Pretty tarded. Stepping down was not a bad idea IMHO

A lot of ground fighters have been cooped up for a while now. Don't be the country to get them let off the leash. That is not going to end well.

Memorial Day/Weekend is fast approaching, and if you hear anyone say, ‘Happy Memorial Day...’,
Fist punch them in the throat and kick’em in the nuts/cunt, then kindly re-educate them about their ignorance in using the combination of words of happy and memorial together.

Memorial Day is an American holiday, observed on the last Monday of May, honoring the men and women who died while serving in the U.S. military.

Try not to be "that" Veteran.

Be glad that you were lucky enough to serve with and know those men and women. While I mourn the loss of my friends I try to celebrate their life and live a life that honors their sacrifice. I do not succeed every day; but thankfully I can try again because I most likely have a tomorrow.
