Got my stock gears out and installed the 4:56's in the rear, half way done with the project, now saving for the front! Then skids, November couldn't come quicker!
I'll upgrade to the 8.4 when the time comes. My wallet is only big enough for college budgets. Slow as a turtle haha

Try affording an ARB after just getting out of HS! Worst part is I'm down to one day a week at work
Need to start hooking
you only got the rear?
Was the bad pinion bearing in a stock 3rd member from the factory? How'd the diff oil look?
ya it was from the factory, lasted 160k. The carrier bearing was shot too. Diff Oil was clean and no metal shavings found. All the teeth were perfect. Only bearings need replacement. Good thing now since I have a spare 3rd, after I get the front re geared I will send my old 3rd off too ECGS and have them install 4:56's in it to have a back up.
Good plan! Having spares is always nice! Maybe I should have drove my stock ones a little further before I regeared, my 3.73ss only had 17k on them when i shipped them back to chase![]()
Well if I knew better I would have sooner. I'm just happy I have a spare now, well until I get that regeared too!
Also, I'll be going with the 1.5" BL from 4crawler. I just am having a bitch of a time trying to order it haha. I'll be getting the steering upgrade too and all new bed bolts.
After the BL, you gonna stuff some 35s under your rig?
