Caught two black males trying to break into my mom's house yesterday (16 year old kids). Thankfully I checked my mom's cameras, asked them what they're doing (which made them run), and called the cops; who managed to catch them a couple of streets over. My mom wasn't home at the time and I caught them on camera before they could do any damage/steal anything. They were trying to duck away from the cameras and hide their faces, one kid was wearing a hoody in 96° temps at 3PM outside and they tried every door handle they could find to see if anything was unlocked.
I filed trespassing charges on them after finding out they tried to get into my neighbors house (across the street, their cameras caught them as well) and they lied to the cops saying they were meeting up with a girl and she gave them the wrong address. I'm not holding my breath that they'll be convicted of anything at this point, but if they try to break into someone else's house, at least they'll already be in the system as repeat offenders.

So I've got another camera on order to cover a massive blind spot at my mom's property, we're not going to leave garage doors unlocked anymore and I've got automatic gate opener on the way for her one gate they got through (it's always unlocked).

From my understanding of everything I have read, my guess is a 3rd degree felony, contempt of court for refusing to release her to my wife when she was there with the constable to serve him, and possibly a few other things that are not as severe.
Plus the custody stuff. Probably won't have any visitation till he completes classes and counseling, then it will be supervised for 3 hours a month.

That's a bunch of nonsense over something that should be civil from both sides. I've had to deal with a shitty ex like that with my 1st wife and our son. Luckily I've never had issues with my other kids mom(s). All that does is effect the child in the long term and doesn't solve anything. He sounds like he's bitter over the break up and jealous of yalls marriage. It was the same with my ex, she still a bitter bitch and I've not seen my oldest since he was prob 8. He's almost 22 now, but she brain washed him against me.

Things were civil, till he tried to pull a knife on me at a restaurant over a conversation regarding his daughter, and making sure she comes to any of us instead of looking things up on the internet. He thinks you can beat the curiosity out of kid.

Shortly after is when we found out he beat her with a paddle the night before, and his own mom called the cops when she saw the bruises.

So yes, it's a dumb situation to be in that impacts the kid the most. We are not telling her anything about her dad, and letting her form her own opinion about him. She loves him because it's her dad, but is scared of him.

Yep. Keeping a 100% clear head for a while. Not even while at home, at least for the next few weeks. Really enjoy something while cooking, but I can do without.
