So the SammichMaker wants a stun gun. I am more bothered by her having a stun gun in the house than the dozen or so loaded firearms scattered throughout the house. I told her she would have to swear that if she hits me with it I get to do unholy things to her book collection.

Got back from a wedding in downtown Shreveport. I know Shreveport's always been a little rough, but man...in the past 4 years since I was there last, it has gotten ROUGH.

I was sick. Started Thursday night.. I flew back on Saturday feeling like shit but thought it was allergies. Anyhow I was asleep by 10 last night and slept until 1:30 this afternoon. My daughter goes to MD Anderson today and has surgery tomorrow. I will not be there. Don’t want to get anyone sick. Sucks.

It was hotter than Satan's asshole here this weekend and my back yard is so dry and crispy already so I opted to not light any fireworks, might have saved me a digit or two.

I had to take off work Thursday because I had such a bad migraine from the dust that blew in. An unsafe amount of motrin barely took the edge off. The migraine finally went away by Saturday afternoon.

I can see a couple of cities firework shows from the end of my pier and man were the fireworks shows they put on lame. There wasn't even a finale on one of them, it just stopped. I can't ever remember the shows being THIS bad before which doesn't make sense as it's the 250th anniversary. Those shows should've been fucking awesome!

Luckily the neighbor a couple of piers down made up for it by spending a fuckton of money on fireworks and putting on a great show for us.
