Sounds like your only option is a new rifle. Go ahead and let me hang onto that you dont care for anymore since it makes a loud noise.

Usually they can cut down 2 to 4 inches to get enough material to properly thread. I was a little concerned when I had that done to my sammich maker's 6.5CM from 22 to 16 inches. Now I wish I had a shorter barrel 6.5CM for hunting inside of 300 yds.

Yeah you'll definitely need to buy a Proof carbon fiber barrel for this rig. Those come threaded already
