Looks good man, I'm not sure how you would grease them. I wonder if you put some bearing grease top/bottom if it would work it'self in there?
Have you tried out the flex yet?

Frack me..
Damn, it's about time Todd.. Glad you finally got them on. So with the SC idle noise, and the Squeaky UCA's.. you got a noisey truck, huh??

I sprayed some gun oil on them last night, drove it today and they are still squeeking. Other than having the jack under it at full flex I haven't tried the flex out yet, might have to go to Krogers and test the loading dock out. LOL

Yea, you would think putting new parts on it would make it quieter. Damn thing sounds like an '84 Ford coming down the road now!

The uniball is noisy, squeeks like hell, I need to figure out a way to grease it. Other than that, I'm pleased with them so far.

Looks good Todd. Not sure what to tell you about the squeeking. Surely we can come up with some kind of solution. Do all uniball UCA's squeek?

ROFLMAO!!! ok Andy, why dont you go do that....
I'm glad somebody got that one!! LOL

I'll figure something out. Gonna do a little reading and see if there others with the same noise and what a good solution will be.

there has got to be a way to get some grease in there some how........

If you grease them right, they shouldn't squeak. Also, they need to be re-greased every so often or they will start to squeak again.
Figured they would have come pre-lubed on the uniball section, I might pull the uniball apart, grease it and put it back together maybe even add a grease zert to them. Its not the control arm bushings that are squeeking, they are well greased and came with grease zerts, I greased the heck out of them.

Don't use petrolium based grease, it will retain dirt and wear down the uniball surface like sand paper, use a dry silicone based lubricant, you should be able to spray more than enough in there without removing the uniball using the straw thingy that comes with the can

I'm gonna try some dry film lube.
From McMaster-Carr:
"Multipurpose Graphite Dry-Film Lubricants. It goes on as a liquid but the fluid evaporates after application to leave a long-wearing dry graphite film that won't attract dirt"
Think this would work?

Yup, samething just a different active ingredient. The graphite tends to wash away easier but it shouldn't be a problem unless you go driving through deep water.

I've heard of other guys that that are running these uca's, have used Teflon. Either liquid or dry. Said that should take the squeek away for awhile.

Cool, thanks. I'll keep the deep water in mind, we both know what kind of trouble you run into driving through water. lol

I actually picked some dry film PTFE up as well, I might try a few things to see what works best.
Have you got your parts in yet?

Picked up a camper top for cheeeep off CL. It will be nice to haul things without worrying about the weather, also nice for camping in when doing a weekend event our when hunting.
