I'm thinking about adding another jack to the garage. There has been more than one occasion where I thought a second jack would have been helpful. If I do, I think I want to go with one of the aluminum ones for easier transport if I ever needed to carry it with me.

Cheapest option is the HF 1.5T ($89 w/ coupon)
Weight: 33lbs, max lifting height: 13 7/8"

I'm kind of leaning toward the Husky 3T ($200)
Weight: 58lbs, max lifting height: 19"

The HF/Pittsburgh 3T weighs more and is bigger overall. Also, $50 more.

I remember when I went from a 3T steel jack to a 3T aluminum jack... I about threw it across the garage. The weight difference is awesome. LOL

Careful with the cheaper aluminum jack from Harbor Frieght. Apparently they do not hold up to extended use with near max loads. The sides shear and the whole thing fails.

Don't buy things from HF that if they fail they can kill you.

Same, heard good things about them as well. But still... I bought something else. I went with Sunex, a 2T and a 3T.

HD has some "Big Red" brand aluminum 1.5T jacks for less. I'm still leaning toward the Husky 3T.

Is 1.5T sufficient, or will it just piss me off that I didn't get the 3T? I like the lower price and weight of the 1.5T; however, I like the added height and lifting capacity of the 3T.

Primary use will be the Tacoma with occasional use on the Expedition. I have a steel 3T Pittsburgh that I currently use, so this one is auxiliary.

I've had nothing but good luck with my Daytona from HF. I have the US Jack jackstands and wish I could justify one of their floor jacks. But at $1000+, I'll just have to take my chances with the Daytona. It probably rolled off the same assembly line as all the rest of them.

That new pole saw looks legit. My Dewalt pole saw is one of my favorite tools I own. It's paid for itself multiple times by now.

So I took advantage of the price cuts on the gen 1 Milwaukee tools on Amazon and ordered the M18 circular saw. I doubt it will get more than moderate use so it will fit the task nicely.

Same here. But I grab that every time over my Bosch corded circular saw.

Same, but with my Ridgid.

Is this another conversation that we've had before?

...check out this ancient alarm clock that's in my guest room....

From the same folks who make the lock fitting for grease guns. This thing works great. The one that came on the ARB worked fine. But this is mo’ betta.
