I mean the one that's still a lever, but has a button on the side of it. I've seen '95s with them.

2002's have a t-case shifter

Alright fagues, help me find a 86-89 1st Gen IFS 4runner 4x4 with manual tranny. Would be nice to spend < 1000, but I could push 2K if necessary.

Only if I never drive faster than 55mph

Actually on road its fine.. I bet it goes 80 with no issues and no scary moments. It has hi steer and all leaf lift. Now off road and flexing... well.. maybe not so great. But its a great base to start with, just have to talk yourself into cutting up that pretty paint job and straight sheetmetal. Buthey, front and rear ARB's with 5.29's.. not a bad start.

IDK about 80 mph, but the craftsmanship that goes into a truck like that one plays a HUGE role in it's real world driveablity. Done right yes, done wrong not even close.

You really shouldn't go 80 in a truck like that thats just asking for disaster, hell even my taco (no sway bar) and chevy get sketchy at 80+ mph and the chevy is a top notch build it's just the nature of the solid axle.

Thus the nature of my build, speed over everything else, i've almost got enough saved for sc, the y-pipe and new muffler aren't far behind

I had a 82 Yota with 38's and a Buick V6 and it was fine on the highway as well. No swaybars. As long as you dont use ghetto engineering and that vehicle "looks" like it was built right. Now up close it might be a different story.

I don't have a sway bar in my Taco and I have hit 80-90 and no issues with stability. Do I want to slalom race it.. no. But its not sketchy at all.

You should drive mine at 80+ you would shit your pants all sense of stability and control are gone, same with the chevy, at around 85-90 it picks up the death wobble.

Well I installed a 220 outlet in the garage today. Used 40 amp breaker and 8/3 Romex. It works... well it powers up the welder and doesn't blow the breaker. :) I haven't tried to weld anything just yet... maybe later today if it cools down.

Well I just made a few.. I definitely need to practice.. but the welds are strong. I welded a 3/8's plate to a 2 x .120 wall square and its ugly.. but its strong. :) Now to work on the pretty part.
