What have you done to someone else's ride lately?

I've had my flat before and rode on the bumpstops many a times before replacing my older ones with a fresh set years ago. With this tongue weight (I think around 1500 lbs), taco would probably have a negative arch and get that Carolina squat look going

I need to replace the OME's on my Taco... they are not super flat but they need replaced. I figure I should buy a new set and let them hang out in the garage for 5 years before I say "I really should install those new springs" lol

That's my MO for any maintenance...purchase and let it collect dust and either forget I bought it or get overwhelmed because now there's several purchases in a pile and it will take too much time to do lol I just changed the oil in my taco and afterwards finally put on the belly skids that have been sitting on a cart in my shop since I replaced my clutch almost 4 or 5 years ago lol

LOL! I rebuilt the drivers side RCV CV axle maybe 10 years ago (new boot and new grease)... its still sitting in the toolbox. lol I do need to drop my the skids on it and figure out why 4WD won't engage.

Haha, yeah I've got things in my shop that I probably never even opened the box for when they shipped here lol. Before removing the skids, check the EE ground connection in the engine bay, it's known to corrode and cause the ADD and tcase actuators to have a bad reference ground and malfunction.

The one Nissan we brought to the junk yard had a spare engine with it, so the yard said we'd get more money if it was separated (aluminum intake manifold and head), so we made quick work of separating the engine and tranny then stripping down the block. My makeshift engine hoist because I was too lazy to roll out the cherry picker

Replaced the front diff cover on the kids Rubicon. Did have the fill tube pop out of the top hole while filling and it sprayed fluid all over.. fucking nasty. LOL. I smell good for sure.

I'm not a big Hyundai fan, but that Elantra N is pretty cool looking.

Yeah it's definitely a quick car but too rough for me to be used as a daily driver. My nephew is still young so it doesn't bother him yet. Hyundai cheaped out on the traction control on this car because you can brake the tires loose in the first few gears (that was with Michelin Pilot Sport 4's too). It understeers like a mofo too.

My wife and daughter are up in Arlington at some college volleyball dealio. Gets her in front of coaches and recruiters from about 10 colleges I believe. Anyhow I decided to be nice and wash her Jeep.

So the OEM tires weren't completely shot, but I got tired of hearing "do you think these tires are good enough to get to ____" for road trips. My wife wanted to take the kids down to see her folks in FL. I figured it was all the excuse I needed to get better tires on there.

But the old ones were around between 4/32 and 5/32 tread remaining in the center. The edges showed that they had likely been underinflated. Regardless, they have a little life left. There's a big portion of my local community that is well below the poverty line. I figured instead of paying the disposal fee, I'd keep the old ones and just list them on marketplace for free.

The amount of "is this still available?" and "how much are they?" questions was insane. Did you read the description? They are take off tires that don't have enough tread to be really worth anything. Maybe they buy you a few hundred miles more than whatever baldness you got going on right now. The faptards that picked them up were over an hour past when they said they would be here, communication sucked, and they just stared at my blankly when I asked "how's it going?" At least they said "thank you" at the end, but it was all they could get out. They were looking at me like I was about to rob them the whole time and it seemed like they wanted me to load their truck.

Makes you not want to do anything nice.

Next time, I'll just pay the disposal fee.

Detailed the interior of my wife's car on Saturday. Took me 6 hours to get it dialed in as I haven't cleaned it in awhile.
