 I've only used them once. They've never been taken off before.

Well I'm stumped/stupied. Those should hold themselves on fine.

Maybe move up to red loctite? I'd call them for sure.

My wife was taking my truck to work this morning because of all the rain and flooding here, so she dropped me off this morning and as I was getting out, I told her "if you break it, you buy it" (talking about my truck) and shut the door. She called me a few minutes later because the truck broke in the loading dock area of my work. I turned around and went back to find her and by that time there was a security guard making her drag the truck off to the side to clear the loading lanes for traffic. The LCA nut and washer had come off and the truck was sitting on the LCA and this asshole was making her drag the truck on it. I yelled at him to stop, saying that he was an idiot and how expensive those LCA's are but it was too late. I looked around the lot and managed to find the washer and nut about 5 foot away from where the truck originally was.

I ran home (literally), grabbed my Hi-lift and some tools, threw them in my wife's car and hauled ass back to fix the truck before they called a wrecker. After an hour, I got everything back together and on the road again.

I am still puzzled how the nut and washer came off. I locktited them and torqued them to spec. I had to clean out the old locktite to be able to rescrew the nut back on. Guess I know what I'm doing this weekend instead of what I had planned. Going through every nut and bolt again to make sure everything's good to go. I am still thanking God that this didn't happen on the freeway, especially with my wife behind the wheel.

Everything I have been putting off buying to store in my toolbox has come back to bite me in the ass. I needed a bigger socket set (1-1/8" socket), a small car lift to keep in the toolbox, and some 4"x4" wood blocks. So all of those will be on order and luckily I had access to all of those at work.

Been there, done that - but my bolt just snapped. IIRC the nut should be a distorted lock nut. Technically they should not be reused in critical applications which I find funny since if it wasn't critical, would you use such a nut! lol I currently have a stock of TC bolts I am thinking I will use the bolt no more than two installations - I don't like having a LCA drop on me. Fortunately, I was going about 2 mph when mine broke - no road rash. The real question is, "Did she pay for it!" lol

Getting the new rims put on at a friend's shop.

My favorite by far. I need to pick up a couple more (I can be hard on wheels sometimes :o ). With my discount I think the last time I paid less than $200 with my discount. A local dealer has them for sale for $2400 for a set of 4!!!

Thanks; when these came up for $500 I knew I had to get them. I had to stop at a well lit place on the way home to get a look - and gas.

I like those KO2's as well Might go that route next time.

I am leaning heavily in that direction.

New distorted lock nut and maybe a new bolt for added measure of safety. :)

What did I do to my ride lately? I left it under the canopy while this stuff passed. So far out of 12 cars there are 3 busted windshields, 1 hubcap knocked off, and more dents than anyone cares to count.

It sucked for the people that had to stand at the windows and watch their cars get destroyed. I was chilling under a canopy. lol

Tonight I will have four working speakers. I am undoing the PO's special projects one at a time.

Done and then some. The CB is just physically mounted; I still have to get power to it and rerun power to the boost gauge for it's light. I am probably going to take some time to set the CB back another 1/2" but I have to wait for another day to do that.

Thankfully my house was about an hour south of all this bad weather. I was about 10 mins from A A Ron's place and he will be getting a new roof, skylights, beer, and possibly anything else he can find before the adjuster gets there.

My BBQ grill received about a dozen hail dents so I will find out if that can be included.

I would make my insurance pay for my BBQ grill if it was dented.

Got it detailed and had the rest of the stain overspray removed. Charged me extra for having to clay bar it but it was worth it not having to do it myself. They did 3/4 of the vehicle in half the time it took me to do the first 1/4 and only charged me $40 over normal detail price. Looks brand new.

That does not sound like a bad deal. I keep trying to decide if I want to claybar my 4R but I am lazy.

Take it to my guy here in Cleburne. He'll make it look new. I couldn't believe what he did to my green Tacoma before I sold it. That thing was scratched all to shit from the deer lease and he got everything out of it and had it looking like a fresh paint job for $100. I didn't have it claybarred though. Just a normal detail job.
