My wife was taking my truck to work this morning because of all the rain and flooding here, so she dropped me off this morning and as I was getting out, I told her "if you break it, you buy it" (talking about my truck) and shut the door. She called me a few minutes later because the truck broke in the loading dock area of my work. I turned around and went back to find her and by that time there was a security guard making her drag the truck off to the side to clear the loading lanes for traffic. The LCA nut and washer had come off and the truck was sitting on the LCA and this asshole was making her drag the truck on it. I yelled at him to stop, saying that he was an idiot and how expensive those LCA's are but it was too late. I looked around the lot and managed to find the washer and nut about 5 foot away from where the truck originally was.

I ran home (literally), grabbed my Hi-lift and some tools, threw them in my wife's car and hauled ass back to fix the truck before they called a wrecker. After an hour, I got everything back together and on the road again.
I am still puzzled how the nut and washer came off. I locktited them and torqued them to spec. I had to clean out the old locktite to be able to rescrew the nut back on. Guess I know what I'm doing this weekend instead of what I had planned. Going through every nut and bolt again to make sure everything's good to go. I am still thanking God that this didn't happen on the freeway, especially with my wife behind the wheel.
Everything I have been putting off buying to store in my toolbox has come back to bite me in the ass. I needed a bigger socket set (1-1/8" socket), a small car lift to keep in the toolbox, and some 4"x4" wood blocks. So all of those will be on order and luckily I had access to all of those at work.
Damn man.. I guess I'll be inspecting mine tonight!
