Got back from the midwest last night at 3:30 AM... long ass flight. What should have been 6 hours with pre-check and the drive home was well over 14. Was planned to fly out today but decided to hedge our bets due to weather and fly out a day early. Nice to be home.

My pier got messed up again (mainly from floating debris. Another massive pier got wiped out and my pier caught a bunch of that debris. Had that debris not been in the water, I think I would've only lost a couple of boards).
My neighbor lost a massive tree that fell into my front yard but his boys got it chopped up already.
We're still without power and probably will be for another day or two. There are a 100+ trees down just in my neighborhood and the vast majority of them are massive old trees for some reason.
My mom lost a couple of trees in her yard that I've got to go cut up today.
I got about 2 hours of sleep over the past two days. A buddy of mine got power back so he let me borrow a couple of his generators. I've got one running a freezer at my house and one at my aunts running a small window unit.

I fed neighbors through a couple storms, katrina, Rita, etc when we were without power for weeks. After Rita storm and our soup kitchen. I told them they are on their own after that storm. Then Hurricane Ike hit, those same dumbasses were not prepared. Needless to say I didn't help them much, I did let one neighbor bring a fridge over to plug in.
If you live in SE Texas, a generator, and small window unit is an essential, just sayin.

Headed home in the morning. If I can have some luck I will be home for 3 weeks this time.

Happy Friday, TGIF and we finally got some rain here today in new Germany. Nothing beats some local applewood smoked bacon from the local butcher.
Wow that first night home hit hard. I have not slept that good in a long time. My flight home yesterday was rough; I got a crap seat and the woman beside me took some pills and passed out hard the whole flight so I was trapped against the window.
A girl did this to me on a flight to Germany (she was aisle seat, I was middle seat and an old lady was window seat). Both the old lady and I just climbed on top of her to get out and use the restroom. She never even moved until we landed

I debated it but the seat and low overhead baggage bin had me balled up. This is the last flight I forget to get an economy premium seat.
