.7 of an inch yesterday, hoping the weather pattern shifts, really could use a lot more rain.

We have had some decent rain, nothing crazy. Tomorrow I will take a look at the pool level, its a good true gauge as it only gets filled up from rain above, not drainage. But I think its less than an 1.5". But my grass and trees love it.

Yeah, we have been getting a good rain & sun cycle lately. The grass and trees are going crazy with it. I really wish I had planted a few trees earlier this year but I held off because of water restrictions and fears it was going to be a dry summer.

Finally got enough of a break in the weather (while I was home) to get my fucking yard mowed. Had to cut it with the deck set at 5" instead of my normal 2" and I left ruts everywhere, but it's cut lol

How bad are the mosquitoes?

I was reading an ag article yesterday about the amount of rain in East TX, almost twice the normal rainfall average. Farmers are worried about not being able to cut and bale hay. East TX hasn't hasn't had this much rain in the month of July since 2007.

They are terrible at my shop, but not out here at my place.

Damn it I knew I should have mowed after work yesterday. Storms are rolling thru the area this morning.
I'm doing my mowing tomorrow, and I can already tell it's gonna be a "mowing it twice" job too. Gonna have to knock it down with the deck up, then I'm scalping it and hoping the sun burns it off lol

Dang the luck.

I locked the cows up yesterday at the Redneck Trailer house yard cause I bet that grass was like 3ft tall. Too tall for me to get in there with the mower. I'm already thinking of doing some electric fence around the new house, I don't want to mow an acre or 2 each time the house yard needs it. I want a small yard for the dogs, maybe a 30min mow on the zero turn, that's all.

Our rain chances are like 10 to 15% for the next 10days, but you know, soon as they peel off our roof this coming Tuesday, it will probably flood. Were going with a metal roof replacement, it's quite a bit more than a shingle roof, but with risks of potential brush fires in the drought stricken areas, metal roof is a better option and a little bit cheaper on the home insurance policy.

Yeah the storm woke me up at 4:30 this morning and I knew I wasn’t going to get to mow today. Hopefully it dries up enough for me to do it tomorrow or I won’t get to it for a week and a half or so.

Same, waiting for the dew to burn off so I can get the yard managed. The sammich maker and I are headed to the San Francisco area on Wed for her older brother's wedding. I fully expect the grass to be a foot tall when we get home on Sunday.
