I just went backwards. Apple Watch now lives in the drawer and a new Seiko GMT on my wrist.

Colder than a witch’s tit today.
Once my Galaxy watch dies, I'll wear my G-shock again full time.

Joined the modern age with a Garmin Fenix 8 smartwatch to track how much I sit during the day. The apps and other features are pretty impressive for it though. Part of the goal is to get back to condition for rucking/ hiking and a run-n-gun competition again if I can keep my feet in good shape this year.

I wear a Garmin Venu 2 (I think), and have been pretty impressed with it. Couple of recommendations though: get the cheap screen protectors on Amazon. They are universal, just get the size that matches the face size. The glass isn't likely to scratch, but it's cheap insurance and the degradation in screen quality, while noticeable at first, isn't too bad. Change the face often. Mine has burn-in (somehow) from previous watch faces. I try to rotate every couple of months now...which sucks because I'll get used to where everything is located on one and then feel like I need to change. Damn. Guess I should change it again :(

Seiko makes a good watch. I kind of miss wearing nice watches.

Yeah, I have a matte screen protector arriving today for the sapphire glass. It is supposed to be near indestructible but I also want to knock down the shine. Garmin has put in some features to help fight screen burn with auto changing screens at bed time (very different layout and gray) and also being able to set aggressive screen timeouts when just glancing. I would say the screen on my Fenix 8 spends more time off than on.

Just waiting on the sun to come up so I can see if and what damage is outside. One problem of having multiple UPS units in the house is the audible alarms all going off when power blips during the night. I am not sure who jumped harder - me or the cats.
