Yeah just posting what the guy said but I don't necessarily agree with himSo much wow and wtf. With enough data points there will be failures.
Sounds like he loaded his 10mm with JHP and not some shit designed to stop big game. I was stationed in Alaska in 1991-92, took my .357 in for a sight fix, gunsmith there had a custom S&W 429 with a 2" magnaported barrel. He was shooting hardcast ammo... can't recall the brand... probably hand loaded. Anyhow he said it would penetrate an Anchorage phonebook (a phonebook is a complete listing of all phone numbers in your area for you young pups ) Anyhow, he told me with that .357 I was best to not load it with any hollow points.
Hunt Ends in Ambush: Hunter Uses 10mm Pistol to Stop Bear Attack
In the last week of May 2024, Bowhunter Tyce Erickson used his 10mm S&W 2.0 handgun to defend against a large Kodiak brown bear.www.ammoland.com
Key words in this article... Underwood Ammo hardcast.
New for this year I will be picking up and bringing to Alaska next season. The 10mm will do the trick but why not go bigger

I am still looking around as I plan to carry it while hiking and with some luck hunting later on in life.
Quick trip up north today. Filled feeders, hauled water in from town, filled water troughs, trimmed around cameras and blinds. Have a couple people coming out to look at the place tomorrow. Hopefully it doesn’t sell before season.
Guy ghosted him. He’s had two others interested in it but he’s been pretty much stuck in bed the last 6 weeks with a herniated disc since we got back from Colorado. So they’re coming out tomorrow to check it out. It’s just over 3 hours in normal traffic.Nice, I'd thought he had an offer already. Guess that one fell through. How far is that drive?

He was doing the chiropractor thing for a couple weeks. Then the chiro told him he needed an MRI. They found the herniated disc (actually two I think) and he went to see a surgeon. The surgeon suggested against surgery at the moment so he’s doing injections and physical therapy. Injections are helping a ton but his body is just sore now from doing essentially nothing and being on bed rest for the last 6 weeks. He couldn’t stand up/walk for more than 20-30 minutes at a time and had to lay down for several hours between getting up.That sucks. Do y'all know someone with an inversion table? I have a few herniated discs and I'm well overdue for a chiropractor visit and massage. I probably shouldn't be installing fencing/posts/gates either.
That’s what he’s hoping for. It’s just listed FSBO at the moment. After season he’ll probably post it with a ranch realtor to drum up more interest.Well hopefully you will get a few hunts in before it sells. With the way the interest rates are for raw land right now, pretty much gonna take a cash buyer to sell.
