So the Gen 3 M12 3/8" impact wrench (the 550 ft.pd.) one didn't survive the CV axle installs on my buddies suburban. Just submitted a warranty claim with Milwaukee to send it in for repair.

I feel like I've abused my Gen 2 M12 3/8" impact far worse for years now and it's held up.

It's probably using the same motor as the 3/8" version. But I tend to use more 3/8" sockets as that covers 99% of what I'm working on for the Tacoma.

Mine is the 3/8'ths, previously I said it was 1/2 . I was wrong, meant to say it was a 3/8. I have a 2 of ther 1/2" big dogs, like 1300 ft/lbs of reverse. I am sure they sell a more powerful version. I don't use it enough to break it though. Sadly I don't use most anything to break it these days. <kicks can, hangs head down low and walks away>

Same. By the time I get home, I have about an hour of "free time" on a few days during the week to actually get anything done. Weekends are filled with stuff my wife planned.

Milwaukee got the tool in on the 4th and have shipped it out this morning back to me. I didn't get a bill for it so I guess it's covered under warranty.

I'm curious to see if they fixed it or just sent me a completely new one.

But man I miss this little impact. There was several times that I could've used it last night working on my car and the Gen 2 impact just didn't have the power I needed to get caliper bolts off. I had to dust off my DeWalt 1/2" impact and get creative with sockets to have the room to zip those calipers bolts (and other bolts) out.

New tool day. Picked up the newest M12 right angle die grinder. I also ordered some carbide bits for it but they are coming on a slow boat. To replace my non-Fuel M18 vac I got the Fuel version. My old one still works but it only has one latch and it has a crack in it. They used to sell replacement latches but seems they are discontinued. Also grabbed all the various attachments for the vac. Got lucky and they were all about 50% off.

Ordered a small pack out to go on top of the vac to hold those accessories.

Got the tool back and per the repair sheet, they replaced the back cover and rotor assembly at no cost to me.

Not a garage tool, but still a tool. Cabelas marked down the inReach Mini 2 again so I used a few gift cards to get it even cheaper. This is going to be a nice peace-of-mind addition for when out on the motorcycles or 4Runner camping.

I have one of those, well the OG InReach Mini, thankfully I've never had to use it. Ram mount makes a holder for it.
