What have you done to someone else's ride lately?

It is 2wd. I found a few Toyota references about the drives haft vibrations issue causing the seal to wear prematurely. Of course my local dealership is trash; they tried selling me a new trans instead of doing the driveshaft TSB.

gotcha. Yeah maybe have the rear shaft balanced and and do the seal. I don’t think replacing that is too hard just remove the driveshaft and pop the old one out and new one in.

Yeah, I had the driveshaft issue fixed a couple years ago and hoped the seal would be okay. I did not get so lucky. The seal will be a quick fix that I just do not have time for right now. I need to get the Tacoma up to snuff so I can drop off the 4Runner at a different shop for it's maintenance job - timing belt, water pump, radiator, and valve cover gaskets.

I know we don't have the instagram plugin for the forum, but I deleted the photos from my google drive.

The backstory:
So my SIL and her husband move to the area. She gets a job interview in Smyrna, GA and has to drive on 285 for the first time in her life. If you've never been on 285, just think 635 with people who can't stay in their lanes (since most of you are in TX).

She side swiped a semi.

In her version, the semi side-swiped her, but she also says that she changed lanes to avoid something in the road. She got lucky and there wasn't much damage. Some duplicolor spray paint, clear coat, and paint pen along with a new mirror and a good polish and its looking really good.

Took me several hours, lots of light coats, and a good amount of sanding. Overall, I'm really pleased with how it turned out. I'm also glad her paint is flat white. Anything else wouldn't have come out so good.

Have not replaced it yet, but the wifes XC90 got a cracked windshield. Her and the kid were sitting at a light and they heard this pop sound and it just cracked from the lower driver side up and across. There is a small chip on the outside so assuming someone kicked up a rock passing by. Sucks.

This is kind of how mine happened. I was sitting at a stop sign just after exiting the highway. I turned left to go under the highway and heard it hit. No other cars on the road with me (it was 4:30am). I’m assuming a car up top driving down the highway kicked a rock up and over the edge and it came down and hit me.

That's what happened to my neighbors Tundra. A rock flew off the highway above and destroyed his sun roof. Toyota had the truck for a few months waiting on parts.

They are replacing the windshield now. Actually just doing the test drive to calibrate the cameras and shit. Thankfully it was not throwing any unforeseen codes like it did last time.

Swapped out a clutch on a buddy's truck, 230k on the original OEM shit. Put a new OEM clutch/pressure plate/flywheel in but opted for a new slave cylinder/clutch master and a URD sleeve kit. Rear main looked good so we didn't mess with it.
