Getting it this far is farther than anything similar ever. All the other legislation has been to restrict firearms.

So my buddy is traveling for a while with nobody at his home. He does not have room in his safe for everything so he asked me to hang onto a few things for him. I have done a really good job not bringing home a Barrett in the last two decades; until tonight. At least I did not have to buy this one. It will be a few weeks before he picks it up so I am debating picking up a couple boxes of ammo to scratch an itch.

Recommendations on pistol RDS?

I know Trijicon is considered the gold standard by many. Biggest drawbacks are the price and having to remove it to replace the battery.

Many then say Holosun. I read mixed reviews that range from "Just as good as the Trijicon, but cheaper and has a side load battery" to "weird glue issues and flicker." Also, made in China (not necessarily bad, but China).

I saw someone mention that the Leupold Delta Point Pro is $100 off right now, making it ~$350. Drawback is that is still isn't cheap and the body is large, which blocks co-witness even if you have suppressor height sights.

I'm currently leaning toward the EOtech EFLX. The price point is around the same as the Leupold DPP (on sale), and it uses the same base. I've read reviews that folks say the screws that come with it are either too short or too long to mount to the frame. Retail is $389, but I'm seeing it around $369 online if you can find it in stock. Supposedly has a very large window, which could impact concealability. "Assembled in USA"

Vortex seems like a solid option, but they apparently suffer from a flicker as a results of a very low refresh rate. I've heard they use very cheap components, which is likely how they can get in the $150-250 range

Swampfox is another that I see people claim to love. I've never really heard of them outside of mRDS, and therefore liken them to just about any other knockoff, cheap RDS.

I have a Crimson Trace that came with an M&P and it has held zero until I put the suppressor on. Not sure if the red dot lost zero or the lower projectile grain weight and suppressor combo just shifted the point of impact. Need to get back to the range to test without the suppressor to see if it is still on zero.

This is intended to be on an EDC, so I want reliability and concealability. Willing to BOCO (buy once, cry once). I figure there are folks on here who nerd out on this stuff much more than I do, so I want your educated opinions.

The suppressor and significant grain weight change most likely changed point of impact enough that you notice it at the range.
