Going to do some obvious maintenance on it this weekend - clean up and reconnect the plugs, cleaning the inside of the TB, and double checking for an obvious failure.
Had some black dude walk up in the front gate of my Livingston shop this morning at 6:45 and take 2 gas caps off buses. Got him on cameraThanks Joe "bucket head" Biden. The decline in the economy has tire and catalytic convertor theft on the rise again. So today I put on wheel lock lug nuts. Next up will be figuring out something for a cat block plate.
Your skidplates don't block your cats? Thanks Joe "bucket head" Biden. The decline in the economy has tire and catalytic convertor theft on the rise again. So today I put on wheel lock lug nuts. Next up will be figuring out something for a cat block plate.

Well, to be fair. The cat theft problem started back in April 2020, at least here in my not so small town. It's progressively gotten worse because crooks talk and now everyone wants in on that money. Large black market networks have sprung up to help fuel continued thefts. Thanks Joe "bucket head" Biden. The decline in the economy has tire and catalytic convertor theft on the rise again. Not sure about the tire problem. Here it's just Camry and Corolla wheels they want. Used to be GMC brand wheels a few years ago.

Swapped out the tensioner pulley for the s/c after work today. It was pretty quick and I only dropped the wrench one time. It is shiny and pretty now but I think after 6 months it will blend in with the rest of the motor nicely.

Does the squeaking go away after the engine warms up?Swapped the pulley yesterday afternoon. The old pulley was completely shot - the bearings had failed and it was all over the place. The new one from URD is still squeeking some even after a drive to settle it in. Going to see how it does after 8 hours of driving this weekend. Not real happy with this squeeking .
Ok, I was wondering if it was the belt causing the squeaking issue. If it is the belt, then typically the squeaking will stop once the belt heats up.No. The pace changes with RPM
FifyGood news; on the drive down to Sonora the bearings liquefied.
